I think it's hard to do the store bought advent calendars with a big family. Not that much stuff will fit in all those little holes. This year we are doing Thriving Families Advent out of their magazine. It's geared for any size family. I love how they make the words come to life by visually showing the kids what they mean. It's chock full of activities and art projects to get your kids thinking about Jesus. It's a free magazine and probably not to late to start. You can find the info here. I love doing advent with my kids. It keeps them focused on giving and what Christmas is all about.
Last year we did a book advent and our all time favorite was when we made our own from Ali Edward's templates. My kids still remember picking a random house to drop a stocking off at. You can find out all our past advents here.
Do you do advent with your kids or have any favorite memories as a kid?
